Facilitating solutions to meet workforce needs now & in the future

Partnerships

ECOTB analyzes the workforce development needs of the community. Through this analysis, the Board can respond proactively to identified workforce issues through the development of community partnerships.  Partnerships can take many different forms in the community from HR strategy planning to career fairs.

Over the past 20 years, the success of our collaborative approach to addressing local workforce issues is dependent on the involvement of our many community partners.  Each year our partnership roster expands across Hastings, Prince Edward and Lennox and Addington Counties. We are grateful for the continued involvement of: local Economic Development offices, school boards, Chambers of Commerce, Employment Ontario Service Providers and service groups.

Our current initiative:

ECOTB is conducting an EmployerOne Survey to help us better understand the issues and challenges facing local businesses. Information will be used to develop actions to address local labour force issues. All answers given will be treated in strict confidence, used for statistical purposes only and published in aggregate form.  Watch for our EmployerOne Survey in early 2019.
